What is CLP

CLP Systems is an engineered structural shear wall hold down and wind uplift restraint system utilizing threaded rod to provide a “Continuous Load Path” from the top plate to the foundation. The CLP System resists roof structure movement and building overturning. CLP is typically purchased either by the general contractor or the framer. While CLP is the specified system on a growing number of projects, we are frequently substituted as a more cost-effective and faster to install alternative to the specified conventional straps and bolted hold downs.
